Junioshow Fair Opens its Doors

‘Junioshow’ Starts as the First Fair of the Year in Bursa

Organized by Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) and Tüyap Bursa Fairs Inc. in collaboration with Baby and Child Clothes Industrialists and Businessmen Association (BEKSİAD), Junioshow Bursa International Baby, Children's Clothing and Children's Needs Fair has started with the participation of close to 200 companies. More than 1,000 foreign buyers from 60 countries will meet with Bursa-based companies at the fair, which will run until January 11.

Junioshow, the first fair of the year in Bursa, has opened its doors to visitors at Tüyap Bursa International Fair and Congress Center. The fair is organized in four separate halls covering a total of 20 thousand square meters. Participants from Bursa as well as Istanbul, Adana and Gaziantep will have the chance to see the spring-summer baby and child clothes collections for the ages of 0-12.

More than 10,000 designs are exhibited in specially decorated uniform booths in the fair which will be visited by over 1,000 foreign buyers from 60 countries, as a result of BTSO's Commercial Safari Project and the efforts of TÜYAP's overseas offices.

BURSA BECOMING A ‘BRAND CITY' IN FAIR ORGANIZATION

İsmail Kuş, Vice President of BTSO, delivered the inaugural speech at the fair, and stated that they are working towards enhancing the competitive edge of Bursa business world in the global arena and making Bursa a leading fair hub of the world. Indicating that they have made Bursa, a production and export powerhouse of Turkish economy, an important player in fair organization as well, İsmail Kuş added, “Junioshow is one of the most important fair organizations that BTSO has brought to Bursa.

Junioshow gathers companies from the baby and child clothes sector; and thanks to the product development projects and other activities carried out with the support of the Ministry of Trade, our companies in Bursa have now become some of the most important players in international competition. More than 1,000 foreign buyers from 60 countries will visit this first fair of the year, and our sector will continue to go from strength to strength.”

BURSA PUTS ITS SIGNATURE UNDER NEW FASHIONS AND TRENDS

Bursa Governor Yakup Canbolat stated that Bursa is the most important driving engine of Turkey's textile sector, and also the leader in the baby and child clothes sector. Emphasizing that Bursa companies play an important role in determining the fashion and trends in the sector, Canbolat stated “Junioshow provides a significant support to our companies trying to bring their products to world markets. Bursa is also increasing its share in value-added manufacturing thanks to such events.

I congratulate BTSO, BEKSİAD and TÜYAP for creating such a fair for the sector and Bursa.”

HIGH QUALITY FAIRS ENHANCE BURSA'S APPEAL

Bursa Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş indicated that the fair organized in Turkey's production and export hub Bursa further enhanced the city's character as a center of attraction. Alinur Aktaş indicated that all the dynamics in the city converged around a common goal and worked for the promotion of Bursa: “I would like to congratulate all the institutions that contributed to this exemplary partnership and created such a prominent event.”

TARGET FOR 2020: 1 MILLION VISITORS

TÜYAP Bursa Fairs Inc. General Manager İlhan Ersözlü stated that they welcomed 800 thousand visitors in the fairs organized in cooperation with BTSO in Bursa in 2019 and added, “We aim to increase this figure to 1 million this year. Within this scope, more than 1,000 foreign firm representatives from over 60 countries meet with our industry in Bursa at the first fair organization of the year, namely Junioshow. The Junioshow Fair, organized as an international event, will add momentum to trade performance of our industry representatives as in previous years. I would like to thank BTSO and BEKSİAD for their valuable cooperation.”
BEKSİAD President Ömer Yıldız stated that their industry enhanced its contribution to Turkey's production, employment and exports with each passing year. Explaining that 200 companies set up booths in Junioshow and display their spring-summer creations in baby-child clothing, Yıldız stated that “We believe that this fair will also provide opportunities for new commercial connections. I would like to express my gratitude to BTSO and TÜYAP Bursa Fairs Inc. and all our stakeholders.”

JUNIOSHOW FASHION SHOW MARKED BY COLORFUL IMAGES

After the opening of the Junioshow, the ‘Junio Fashion Show’ was held to showcase the new collections specially prepared by exhibitors for the fair. The companies' spring summer collections for the age group 0-12 were presented by child models, and the fashion show received great acclaim from the audience.
